RefuSHE
The RefuSHE’s Artisan Collective
RefuSHE is a peer-driven social enterprise that was started in the year 2012 to empower refugee young women with the education and opportunities they need to become skilled, confident, and economically independent entrepreneurs. The collaborative arts-based curriculum allows members to express themselves creatively through the design and production of hand-dyed textiles, acquire transferrable leadership and business management skills, and earn an income to support themselves and their families.
We produce resist dyed textile products that are inspired by nature's palette, whether it’s a unique blend of organic patterns, neutral earth tones, or soft textures. Our unique signature designs pair uniquely with a selection of base fabric colors. The hand-dyed products reflect the raw, earthy materials they were inspired by, while maintaining the cozy, lived-in feel.
100% of proceeds from sales supports RefuSHE's mission to protect, educate, and empower orphaned, unaccompanied, and separated refugee girls in Nairobi, Kenya
